Has anyone had a windshield washer pump fail? No fluid coming out and it doesn’t sound like the pump is trying. Fuses in drivers footwell are fine. The headlight washers work just fine as well. From looking at the frunk and some hose diagrams, it looks like it’s buried in the front fender with no way to replace unless removing the fender itself. Any help appreciated.
$70 part (edit: list price, you can get it for like $15 at FCP), 1 hour labor billed.
The service manual outlines how to do it. Looks annoying, but not difficult by any means. It instructs you to remove the entire reservoir to access the pump, but you might not need to. Should be pretty obvious once you get the wheel liner off.
You can search these WM numbers on the FSM to find the instructions:
Remove the wheel liner (WM 505619)
Remove the whole reservoir (WM 926019)
Remove and install the pump (WM 925619)
I had to replace my entire windshield washer fluid line due to breakage. Once you remove the front driver side tire and tire liner, you can access the washer fluid reservoir. The pump is on the back side of the reservoir so you need to remove the entire reservoir from the car to get to it. The most difficult part was figuring out how to remove the reservoir. It is held in using one screw at the top. Once out, the washer fluid pump can easily be accessed. I didn't replace mine. Just the hose connecting to it. Took about 2 hours to do my first time. The repair manual was helpful using the pictures. Good luck.
