Default PDK oil pan gasket

Brought my 991.2 to the dealer for annual maintenance. The car is new to me, is in excellent condition and only has 6,500 miles after 5 years. The tech said they found a transmission leak that is dripping (I don't have any oil on my garage floor that I've noticed). The tech cleaned it up, inserted some dye to detect the area of the leak and says the pan needs a new gasket. I'm being told that the pan needs replacement too, that they don't come separately from the gasket. Is that true?

Yup.

Sucks when a car is never driven and things dry up.

Curious if this is covered under your CPO. Did they say what it costs for the repair? My ‘18 C2S has 5,000 miles on it, maybe I should take it in for an inspection. Warranty ends in June, but have CPO until 2027.

No CPO. Dealer is quoting $1,375 for the repair.

Agreed that it's better to be driven regularly (which I do). But doesn't seem like something that would "dry up", as the oil level wasn't low.

pan comes with a filter, resets the fluid change service interval for PDK. make a note the replacement date so you do not replace it prematurely in the future (maintenance item).. or the next owner does (can say service performed x date.)

Hmmm ... $1400 to stop a leak so minor it doesn't even show on the garage floor?

Maybe back off the bolts a half turn and retighten?

It does not drop on the garage floor because it is covered with the floor cover board right beneath it. It will drip on that board.
Had mine replaced as well in my 991.1 after 94.000 kilometres.
