Default Rear badge advice for GT Silver

Hey all,

Feeling blessed and grateful to have pulled the trigger on my first 911, a 991.2 GT Silver Targa 4.

The previous owner debadged the rear, but I think I’d like to have the full model written, “Porsche 911 Targa 4”.

I am just torn between the black and silver writing. Obviously the black stands out more, while the silver seems more stealthy.

I’ve also considered going with black but cutting down the writing, e.g., perhaps leaving it at “PORSCHE” or just “PORSCHE 911”.

I would really love to hear your thoughts as I’ve been on this forum for years, mainly lurking with excitement.

Also - as an aside, if anyone has tips on cleaning/washing the car I’d greatly appreciate it.

Cheers, everyone!

Another option to consider:

Just "PORSCHE" in GT Silver.

Congrats on your new car.

Thank you for that, DaveGee. Suppose I should have created a 5th option!

Cheers!

Go with whatever matches the rest of the trim. If the car has chrome trim, then chrome badge; if it has black trim, black badge. Or just do whatever you like regardless of some random opinion on the internet.

I have chrome letters on my GT Silver C2. One way to look at it: chrome is more luxe, black is more sport.

i voted Porsche in black, but this isn't my first choice. I think most 911 rear ends are too busy & so I would either go debadged or I would go with targa in script form. This also makes it easier to lineup. Like this:

I vote for "turbo". If the Taycan can do it, why not you?

"turbo S" may be a little over the top, though.

Default Simple is Elegant

I wouldn’t add “Targa”. I like the simple PORSCHE, silver (chrome?) or black. Are there other markings?

how about getting a few pictures and doing some photo shopping? Will you do a vanity plate besides?

and…..congratulations! Looking forward to the specs too. We’re addicted that way here you know!

I’d color match to your wheels…or gold lettering looks phenomenal on GT silver as a throw back. For a good look checkout the Boxster 25 year edition.

That’s my thinking right here… otherwise it’ll look like an add on and not integrated with the rest of the car’s trim/lettering.
