The comments above are mostly spot on. I have a couple of car searches on Autotrader that alert me to new listings. In the last 3-4 months, asking prices for the 991.1 Carrera S (like mine and this one) have peaked and begun to pull back. Few, if any, of these ads are for such low miles and with CPO, which are worth a few thousand. The peak was $80k- $85k . These are now down to the $74-$78k range.

Hi Scott, based on my geographic area (NY and 500 out of NY), this has been the only car that seemed to be the cheapest on the market. I’m not crazy about the build, unfortunately. I’ll change my radius to unlimited and see if I locate the cars you are referring to in the 74k-78k range.

Agree about the high market right now, however this is all car situation and not Porsche specific. You will probably have a difficult time finding your perfect spec in the $74-78k range, unless you are okay with not perfect history with minor accident/repair, maint history, condition, miles, older year, non-CPO. Most prices are relatively firm online unless very high out of box from my experience. Only giving you my perspective as a recent buyer.
I find that enthusiast sites like this one tend to err on the cautious side with pricing, i looked for two months on Carmax ( i did not buy from them) and dealers, and also using auto trader, Cabrio's go for a bit less money than Coupe's, they cost more new but trade used for a few grand less than a similar spec Coupe, in a similar way that Manual Transmission versus PDK do, also enthusiasts really desire the MT over the PDK and will pay more for it, so for some models like the 991 for example i couldn't find a manual, but i don't mind the PDK and my wife would prefer it also even though she can drive a manual.
So when it comes to pricing i believe its important to factor in the trade if there is one, the asking price is only part of the story, if you are a cash buyer than that's not a factor, but if you are trading something in, the offer for your trade can be different at each dealer, also in my state i get a tax break for the value of my trade, so my trade was 60k and in my state that's a 10% purchase tax on cars, so the break on 60k is 6k so i didn't pay taxes on the full cost of the vehicle only overage. That maybe different where you are so id check on that but thats a factor for me.
so on the cars i looked at for example 3 weeks ago:-
1. I had a 991.1 C2S shipped in to Carmax in Sapphire blue 39,000 miles with an Aero kit, PDK decent spec and they wanted $82,900 i talked to a local Porsche independent and he seemed to think that was a good price.
when i saw it it had a few small body issues , some light scratches and some damage to the front lip that had scuffed off the paint. I passed on the car mainly because i didnt like the way it drove.
2. I then drove 3 hours to a Porsche dealer that had a 991.1 C2S CPO that was $88,900, 37,000 miles Black sunroof PDK also a decent spec.
3. The same dealer had 2017 991.2 C2 CPO in a better color IMO Silver glass sunroof PDK 31,000 miles, i just liked it a lot more than the 991.1's i overpaid to the point i'm not going to post what i paid but it was significantly more than the other cars
if you message me ill share that but it sounds like you are looking at 991.1 cars so that isnt really important, and the hive will come out in droves and lambast me for overpaying, lol all the cars had Sport Chrono BTW.
another point which is worth noting is you can extend a CPO beyond the two years offered that's what i did, it is expensive though but that's the P-Tax
I'm not sure that the Porsche car prices are about to normalize, with Porsche suspending production on new cars i think that will make the used market strong for sometime.
if you read posts on here some high end buyers are dipping back to the used nearly new Market as they cant get an allocation for a new one, then i believe that will have a knock on effect and more buyers will look at used.
that doesn't mean there are not exceptions to the rule and a few cars go down in price because they haven't sold.
so how long will there be a shortage, how long is a ball of string? one to two years would not surprise me.

considering how the used car market is now.
I have similar spec to yours (7MT etc) with 93,000 miles and my mechanic offered me 68k on the spot. I am sure even with my miles I could get more, but with lower miles that is like 85-95 with the perfect buyer.

You are correct, mileage is one of the biggest value indicators for 911, even more than year it appears for most 991.1 buyers.
Well, if it includes those trips to Spain, it’s a deal! Or is the car in Spain? 😀
Price seems reasonable based on below depending on condition.
lol, this is a helpful tool. Im in no rush. Currently driving a completely opposite car (X5 M50 2021), but I came from sport cars so I considered the Porsche, however, in this market, it is probably a mistake to purchase.
After hearing the potential issues with the vinyl, my mind has been made. I shall wait for a better spec with leather interior, lol.

Ha, we also have BMW X5 50i, what a great sleeper. Nobody knows how fast it is! The torque is insane for an suv.
