Hi all
Looking to hardwire a dash cam into the fuse box and am trying to identify the best 5A fuse to piggyback onto. Should be switched w/ignition to avoid battery drain, but I am challenged to identify which one fits this requirement (I.e., no power through the fuse circuit when ignition off). Tried using the compass circuit on the passenger side but alas this seems to be live even when ignition off. Any help appreciated.

I used spot C4 and D3 for my dashcam. Don't remember which was switched, but you can check with a multi-meter.


C4 Cabriolet: Rear right power window control panel
D3 PDCC control panel

They aren't 5amp, but I used add-a-ciruits.

Thanks for the quick and helpful reply. Using my multimeter I was able to identify D6 in my particular vehicle (passenger seat ventilation, 5A) as switched. Working as required now. Seems the rain sensor (B1) is unswitched! That was a bit of a surprise.
