2014 C2S
Hello
Looking for some help. I think. I landed on a car I would like. Its much more than I wanted to spend but seems pretty clean. It doesn't have all the equipment I wanted but has nice upgraded interior.
So, its from CarMax, home of the if I dont like it in 30 days I get a refund.
I am purchasing an extended warranty (platinum coverage) CNA administered.
Anyone with, knowledge on this unit, or suggestions would be appreciated. This forum is full of smart people who have much more experience and market knowledge than I.
Car is in transit, if I like it I buy it. If not, no harm.
Stats: Agage exterior and interior, 1 owner Carfax, no accidents, 11K miles $89K warranty 72 mos $3000

If you get it, your first mod should be adding aftermarket paddles. There are a few options - I have the Techart ones. Game changer! Don’t loose the multifunction wheel. With aftermarkets you can have your cake and eat it too…Especially as it matches the interior.

That mileage and condition the price is still way below original MSRP so I would say in today’s market it is a good buy. I haven’t bothered to check comps, but Carmax typically has “fair” prices. Again, in today’s market, with lack of supply, if you find something you like and it is a fair price I would hop on it. That’s what I did lol, so maybe I’m biased. After years of watching the market I think current values aren’t going to do a 180 over night, likely just plateau if anything, so I wouldn’t worry about losing more than typical on a Porsche in the long run. If it’s the right car for you then you’ll be way happier next Saturday driving it than flipping through the classifieds.

Feel free to PM me if you want. I bought an early 991 from CarMax with the MaxCare warranty in November. I think my two main lessons are 1) don't fall in love with the car, buy the car you love and 2) MaxCare if your friend. It's administered by Fidelity and it's top notch. I do like CarMax and I'd buy another from them in a heartbeat.
Mine is a 2012.5 991.1, c2s with a 130k MSRP since it's a fully loaded car. I got mine for $75k + 5K for a 125,000 five year MaxCare warranty. For what it's worth, the warranty has already 2x paid for itself thanks to PDK issues. Also, CarMax will take shortcuts with paint, so make sure you have a good body shop inspect the car for paint thickness, overspray, etc...
Long way of saying, DM me if you want to chat!

Looks like a gorgeous car. But wow that price! I bought my 14 Cab 4S with 145k MSRP with similar miles back in 2016 for the exact same money! I know prices have been crazy but 90K for a 2014? I would have thought 75k in today's market.
