Fidelity Platinum. Before it's too late.

Way ahead of you - did it before I had 10k mikes. Good for another 4 years. Should have said “factory warranty” in the header.

BTW, my car has 15K miles, not 40K.

You can probably do it yourself for 10% of that... Or use an independent for 30% of that bill...

Yeah, I did the same. Crazy cheap for 10y/100k.

Two questions...

1. is it better to get the Fidelity Platinum warranty or Porsche's extended warranty
2. for the Fidelity Platinum, would it be better to get it just before the manufacturer warranty expires or are people getting in well before the manufacturer warranty expires? I would have thought it would be the former, but OP stated he got the Fidelity at 10k miles.

Thanks!

Does a Fidelity platinum warranty cover regular maintenance like this? None of the items in OP’s post are repairs, they’re just regularly scheduled maintenance with replacement of consumables and inspection of wear items, right? Does the Porsche warranty cover normal maintenance items?

1. Fidelity Platnium and Freedom Warranties are both better than Porsche's extended warranty on coverage, and price.
2. It would make sense to wait until the factory is almost up, I suggest to customers to not even think about extending the current warranty or shopping third party until then, you can get smacked headed home from work tomorrow, and now you have thousands of dollars tied up in the car for a service you can not use and have to get back. Op's is a 2018 so possibly out of factory warranty.

No, extended warranties like Fidelity do not cover maintenance costs or maintenance items, You could purchase a pre-paid maintenance plan for possibly 10-15% off maintenance costs the life of the plan, but then you're stuck playing dealer rates.
