Default Burning Porsches at Sea!

This isn't going to help the inflated pricing we're seeing.

same story, different take:
http://www.zerohedge.com/markets/car...r-massive-fire

this should drive the BaT sales prices up a bit. as if they weren't climbing fast enough already!

Exactly, even if 20% of buyers say "screw it, I am buying preowned".. BAT and the like will see a bump for sure

60,000 P cars per year in US so this represents less than 2% of annual volume, however now there is one less specialty roll-on roll-off ship no doubt creating a logistics issue maintaining oversea shipping volumes. Then of course there's back filling the lost units adding more to a production backlog. What a mess. Condolences for all the dealers and customers with incoming orders. I'll give my one year old 4S a hug.

If the ship is in international waters and you salvage a couple of P-cars, maritime law says they're yours!

Ha!
read this happened before/somewhat recently to a bunch of P cars. remember something similar happening to a bunch of Rovers about 4-5 years ago, although that ship just tipped over in typical Rover fashion i believe =)

sorry to all who got hit but it's always good for a laugh or two (as long as no one got hurt).
