Default Help re-attaching rearview mirror?

Hey, just noticed that my rearview mirror is loose, the plastic section that attached the mirror to the windshield mount has come loose (don't know why) and it's hanging/detached from it's mount. Any suggestions on how to put it back in? I've tried some moderate force but wanted to check before I crank on it. Trying to avoid schlepping to the dealer for it.

Pic attached (photo isn't mine so ignore the radar + cam and focus on the highlighted bit pls)

Mine fell off a couple years back. Dealer replaced windshield which includes the mount via CPO warranty.

They pull apart. Stick a trim tool in the middle crease and twist them apart.

Yep, you can take it to a glass shop and they can fix it for you. The "Porsche" way is to replace the windshield. I had mine done under warranty, the issue is faulty glue that deteriorates after some time. VW and Audi have had the same problems too.

Thanks folks, I used a bit more force and it popped back on. Next time I'm in for service I'll get them to take a look. I will need a new windshield sometime this year so I'll double check it goes in well.
