19" O.Z. wheels subsitute for 20" stock?
Background: I had a 2013 Carrera S that came stock with 20" wheels. Wantng a wider tire selection, both brands and sizes, I ordered a set of O.Z. wheels from Tire rack. The fit was just fine and various tire size optioins were readily available, with not even the thought of a rub.
Sold the 2013 Carrera S and got a 2017 GTS, also coming with 20" wheels, albeit centerlocks. I saw a set of 19" O.Z. wheels in Rennlist classifieds, and stapped therm up,,,came with TPMS too. They were off a 997.2 GT3....when I read the ad, I wanted another set of wheels so badly that my mind converted the GT3 in the ad, to GTS. Not a smart move. In preparation for a track day, I had some RE-71R tires mounted up on my new (to me) wheels...
Now out to the track where my track support team mounted up the tires that brought there for me. I hopped in the car, and headed out to the track, within a few feet I could hear a grinding noise. By the time I could turn the car around, I had managed to grind a small incision around the circumference of boih rear wheels.
So much for saving money. I'd have to first repair the wheels, and then sell them,,,a painful process at best. Off to take pics for my ad....Adam, the owner of the shop (Vollig Aitowerks in San Diego) where i get my work done and store my wheels, told me to relax for a moment and he would inspect the rear wheels. Up on the lift went the car, and the scrapes on the rear wheel carriers were tough to ignore. But upon closer inspection, Adam felt he could do a little grinding on the wheel carriers for adequate clearence. without sacrificing the overall rigidity and strength of the wheel carriers . In a matter of minutes, I got to inspect the 19" wheels mounted up on the car, no more rubbings, and very little material was removed from the wheel carriers.
The moral to this story, do your homework before pissing away lots of money on ill-fitting wheels. There are 19" wheels that will fit a 991.2 GTS, but finding them will be a chore.

I am also looking for a set of track wheels and saw the ones that you picked up. I passed on them as they were for the 997 GT3.
Sucks.
Sucks.

No rear axle steering on your GTS?

That is correct, "No rear axle steering on your GTS." When my 2017 GTS popped up for sale at a BMW dealer 10 miles from my house, I jumped on it. 991.2 GTS cars are not that easy to find.....I wanted Rear Axle Steeting and Front Lift, car didn't have these options. But as a GTS it is well optioned.
There is a 2018 coming up for sale with Rear Axle Steeting and Front lift, but by the time I sold my car, assuming I could get $140,000 for it, I'd have to cough up $20,000 more to cover the price delta between the two models as well as 7.75% sales tax. I can live without thses options.
