Default PPF indentations

I have Xpel Ultimate + PPF on the front of my 911 and had my front license plate mounted over it. I moved to Las Vegas where a front plate is not required. When I removed the front plate there was an outline of the plate frame in the PPF. Anyone know if the PPF will recover its shape and the indentation will disappear? If not, anything I can do to get rid of it? Thanks

I second this option. Depending on the brand some of these coatings are self healing with heat. Go slow and easy with a hairdryer. Heat gun is a better option if you have used one before. They get hot enough to melt the bumper skin if you aren't careful..

Hair dryer on high from a foot away, heating evenly in the area, should activate any sort of self-healing property of your PPF, should it have that. A heat gun can also be used, just don't scorch it.

Hot water can be helpful in situations like this. Direct sun can also help with self healing.

Played with a hair dryer and got the indentation about 90% removed - almost invisible. I ordered color matched bumper plugs to fill the holes and I'll see how it all looks. But knowing how **** I am, this will probably end with me removing the PPF, refinishing the bumper, and adding new PPF. 4 little holes = $2,000 or so!!!
