Default PCCB: Center lock wheel mount pin tool

Hi all, I saw there is a tool available to help remove centerlock wheels. Does anyone have this tool? I'm considering it, but, $365 seems like a lot of money for a piece of aluminum. I'm slightly considering using a 3D printer to make my own, at a considerablly lower cost. Has anyone attempted this? lol, I know, I'm crazy. If someone has one, or knows the diameter of the tool and the centerlock thread specs, I could try and make one.

Try messaging or searching for "SmokinGTS". I bought my tool through him. Can't recall the price, but I think it was under $200.

You're not the only one... I spent some time searching around hoping to find a file to 3D print. I have iron brakes, so it's not as essential for me to be careful putting wheels on/off, but it would still make the process easier.

I still make the best CL alignment tool out there for the best price. PM or email me at ed.jenkins@comcast.net for details.

I have Ed's alignment tool and can highly recommend it. Ed is a great person to deal with and the tool is very high quality which makes wheel swaps a breeze.

If you have iron rotors and wish to change centerlock wheels, this wheel alignment tool is nice to have. Especially if you are prone to lower back problems. These 19" and 20" wheel are very heavy, at least 50 Lbs.

If you have PCCB rotors, Ed's alignment tool is essential. All it takes is one screw up removing the wheel where it collides with the PCCB rotor and creates damage...ouch. If it's bad enough where you have to replace the rotors, you'll beed to replace rotors in pairs, a mere $10,000. Ed's alignment tool is cheap insurance.

I have Ed’s as well. Super nice. Solid hunk of Delrin. I’d be worried about a printed part fracturing at the thread and shaft juncture and then you have the exact problem you were trying to prevent and barrel damage as well.

Ed's CL alignment tool is made of heavy duty DELRIN and noting in my pic, the threads on the CL tool are protected with a threraded cap when not in use, sitting in your tool box. I can hardly wait to implement in my CL wheel change project, just need a few more tools, and four (4) JackPoint jack stands. They are on back order, but worth the wait.

Suggest you list these on Marketplace. I’d seen references to them and even checked there, no luck so figured they were NLA, and went for the Suncoast one. It’s fine but ridiculously heavy, not tapered as much as yours to aid guiding the wheel on, and still metal on metal sliding the wheel in place. Yours looks like a better design for sure.

Since this popped up again, I’ll say thst this is super well designed and super stout. A 12” 305 rear has some weight to it so knowing that the caliper and rotors won’t get bonked is reassuring.
