Default DMI report: Odd???

Here is a DMI report from a car that I am interested in. It was done by the seller
on a handheld device. I believe that these settings can be re-set. It is the
zeros in all categories that makes me wonder.....

Any thoughts?

About how many miles? I'd guess 10,500??

Don't accept an Over Rev report from the seller. Do your own during a PPI.

Is this car a PDK or manual?

All zeros is not unusual. When I sold my 2014 manual PowerKit car in April it had all zeros after +72,000 miles.

If it's PDK, nothing to worry about. Manual, that's kind weird but not unheard of. Only 300 hours, there's a chance the car has never been driven.

Car has 6,400 miles.... 20 something mph average over its life... manual transmission

So can the settings, excluding engine hours, be re-set? If not, then what sort of games can a
seller play in terms of manipulating the report?

thanks!

Based on that mileage, the report seems pretty legit. Can the numbers be re-set? Sure. But that takes a crap-ton of knowledge and expertise.

Your DME Report is just one part of your due diligence process. No one should buy a Porsche on only one data point. If everything else checks out, buy it.

Golden Rule. Buy the seller. Not just the car.
