Default Oil reset

So I do all my own oil changes and have the "Change Oil Now" come up on the dash. Is there a way of resetting that without having to go to the dealer? It goes off one second after the car is started but it drives me nuts (OCD overload when I see it) when I see it. Maybe just look away for a moment...LOL

Sure. There are any number of oil service interval reset tools out there in the $50-$150 or more range.

They connect through the OBDII port under the steering wheel. Generally menu based, they allow to reset oil and maintenance messages, and access to other data.

How much do you want to spend?

If you have a few different makes the iCarsoft CR Pro works just as well and it works with many car manufactures.

I just finished my DYI il change.
The iCarSoft POR-II worked fine. I watched a few youtube vids first and it was a no brainer. I selected auto over manual oil reset and it reset to 10k miles and 12 month reminder. I'll still change the oil at 5k
