Default Droopy seatbelts

My 2017 seatbelts are not retracting very well. Is this a common issue?.

Common issue with older cars, most commonly caused by dirt build up on belts. Just clean thoroughly with a degreaser and it should be fixed. Just did this on my 2006 z06

After cleaning, spay some clear silicone on the inside of the belt where it gets rolled up.

I have the same problem with my 2016, will try the cleaning and silicone suggested here.

Well maybe the little blue pill can sort out the unintended drooping? 😜

My 991.2 retracts just fine. Got a picture, or a video if they fully retract and just slowly?

Up north right now, will post a video when Im back down. When I unhook my Panamera they retract right away, when I unhook the 911 they just sit there

that sounds defective, mine do not do this. If they went and checked other 991s there and said they do it too, sounds like they're defective.

It's like my dealership telling me my cup holder with a broken left mounting clip sagging "matches other 991s on the lot" being questionable.

So far my experience with this dealership has been 10s.
I really didnt have time to fool with it this time but I will be with the car much more over the next few months so I will return and visit with the service manager.

So I just went out and played with mine for a little bit, and the only time they won't fully retract on their own is if they are hooked around the side bolster of the seat. This doesn't ever happen in normal use, but hey, worth noting the spring isn't strong enough to rip the belt around the bolster I guess.
