In looking for information about the Porsche platinum wheel colors (my wheels need a repaint), I found the information for these recipes scattered about the forum, so I thought I'd put them all here.
The concensus seems to be that Porsche has two differrent Platinum colors for wheels, both with the same option code of XDH. The two colors are described as Platinum Semi-Gloss and Platinum Satin. One color is darker than the other, or I suppose you could say one color is lighter than the other and still be correct. Per Glasurit, the original supplier of the paint, the Platinum Semi-Gloss covers years 2012-2013, and the Platinum Satin covers years 2014-2019. The Platinum Semi-Gloss is available in the Glasurit Line 90, which has a waterborne basecoat. The Platinum Satin is available from Glasurit in either the Glasurit Line 90 or the in the Glasurit Line 55, which has a solvent basecoat.
Maybe this will help those wishing to re-paint their wheels the original platinum color, or change to the platinum.
