Default GT3 wing for my C2S - what's needed

I'm in the process of possibly buying a GT3 wing and want to put it on my 2012.5 991. Besides the wing/engine cover itself what else is all needed from a hardware perspective? Is it worth it? I really like the looks of the OEM GT3 wing but is it easier to just buy the Techart spoiler II that replaces the OEM spoiler? Anyone?

Techart wing IS probably simpler option.. and I always shy away from any "bolt-ons" that belong/exist for the highest tier trims as sometimes it can come across as posing.
That said, looking at the new OEM wing Porsche has available for the 992 base/S/GTS cars, it seems that they want non-GT cars to look like older GT3 (now that 992 GT3 has moved onto Swanneck design) and hence the look becomes more mainstream (and acceptable)

At the end of the day, to each his own and we are all free to do whatever we like.

I honestly wouldn't do a GT3 wing without at least changing the front bumper or adding some kind of aero in the front. It's way too aggressive for the stock bumpers IMO. If the only change you want is the rear spoiler, i would go with the Techart.

BUT if you insist on the GT3 wing you'll also need the base/frame/support thing for the decklid to latch on to since the striker will now be in a differnent location.

I do like the looks of the Techart. Think you could send a picture from the side of the car?

What is involved in installing the Techart wing?

The guy who did the work said it took 6 hours, but he was extremely careful and read the instructions about 100 times. I think the hardest part was getting the third brake light wiring figured out, but I could do it now in 15 minutes. If you go this route, once you lower the spoiler, disconnect the lifting motor. (Don’t ask me how I know). Also, you will need Porsche to reconfigure the PCM as in a turbo car. Otherwise, you get a spoiler fault over 75 mph. I would also advise a TechArt chin spoiler up front. The rear wing creates a lot of downforce and the front end lifts at speed.

Where are you located? And what color is your car?
I've recently acquired a Carrara White 2012.15 C2S that has a full TechArt kit that I've not grown fond of.. not my taste.
So considering selling it - but on the wall because it's all so new to me and I'm wondering if it will just grow on me.

IMHO you could consider removing the white rings around the headlights. It looks “modified” with it on. Congrats on the car either way.

Thank you It's all part of a full TechArt aero kit installed by the dealer waaaay back by the original owner (cost him ~$10k in all). I'm guessing he couldn't get a GT3, so made it as close to it.
I do find the wing a bit flashy and it does gather more attention than I like I'd set a more Sport Classic look on my 997 (now sold) and I think that's a lot understated that the TechArt kit.
So my tentative plan is to get a ducktail and the side decal. I'm still on the wall regarding the TechArt front lip vs the "S" lip.
And I'm also on the wall regarding the fuchs style wheels - not sure if they're still in trend - then there's the question of 19" vs 20" - better ride with 19".
The white rings are a definite no - going to either leave them stock or thinner black ones like the Sport Classic.
Sigh.. I think I'm simply stuck in the past with a very modern car
