Default Thinking about selling - advice on pricing

Hi all, long-time watcher but new poster.

Am thinking of getting rid of my 2017 991.2 (manual, full deviated stitching natural leather). Not sure how to price it - "minor - less than $1,000" incident on CarFax from previous owner. I also had the entire front of the car and roof repainted with a full xpel added to front to remedy rock chips it endured while under lease. Front end had chips and roof had a 1 cm spot of peeling clear coat on the factory paint that PNA would not correct. 29k miles.

Not sure how to discount given the minor incident and respray I did.

Any advice/thoughts appreciated.

Thanks!

You might try running it through Kelley Blue Book for a value. Out of curiosity I ran mine ('17 C2 MT/31K miles) and I found their trade-in and private party numbers were about what I would expect, given current wacky market conditions.

You could also go on Porsche NA's web site and check national asking prices for '17-'19 991.2's to get an idea what dealers are looking for these days. If you haven't been looking lately, the figures are eye-popping.

Unfortunately an accident or cosmetic damage is going to reduce desirability/resale value, but that's subjective obviously and dependent on the buyer. Hard to put a value on it. If it were me, and if it was a car I was seriously interested in, I would greatly appreciate full disclosure of the paint job, copies of the repair order, detailed pictures before and after. These cars are hard to find, especially in MT, so while perhaps there are not as many MT buyers as PDK, the ones that want a MT, REALLY want an MT, so you may find the price delta to be less than you might think, even with a resprayed front end.

Thanks for the advice! I did review NADA and KBB, but am not sure what % discount to expect to give for the incident and respray.

Maybe start at that figure and negotiate based on offers. Many will walk away from respray that is covered with ppf. Others will think its great because it looks good and better than paint chips.

The MT premium may be greater than the respray discount.

Ask a dealer first. You might be surprised what they would offer for a 3 pedal car.

KBB quotes are crazy, my '19 MT valuation is several Ks higher than MSRP for a trade in and the private party sale is significantly higher still.
