I replaced my stock exhaust with a Kline system, but need some additional vacuum line to extend the existing lines to the location of the valves on the Kline. I bought some tubing at Home Depot but it's melted a little and want to replace it with the correct material.
Does anyone know what material and size the exhaust vacuum line is? Or a part number to order it from the dealer if I can't find a generic replacement?
Any silicone line from amazon or ebay should be fine, no reason to pay $LOL$ for Porsche-specific stuff that probably won't be the right length anyways.
My guess is 3/16" but measuring the barbs should be easy enough if no one else can chime in with sizing!
The OE vacuum line for PSE is 4AN (3/16 or 5mm ID) stainless braided teflon/PTFE lined hose. I was able to buy it from a local hydraulic hose shop for $8 a foot. If you want to get it online many racing shops, ebay, or amazon have it.
I had to make custom line for my Cargraphic exhaust. Ended up using longer metal line + covering it in DEI Fire Sleeve + using a line clamp thing to keep it away from the muffler. Since doing this I haven't had any issues in a year, even with some track days where I had issues prior.

did anyone notice a loss of horsepower after keeping exhaust in open position? I unplugged and capped the vaccum line, I feel the car is not performing as well but it could be in my head...
In theory better exhaust should mean better power, but maybe its designed to need that pressure at certain stages...

thanks,
Nothing really better about it. Post-cat there aren't really flow issues to speak of. It's the cats that are your restriction.
The difference in power is somewhere between zero and "so little that you cannot reliably measure it with a dyno" -- I would be truly shocked if you could feel it or reliably show quantifiable differences with lap times.
I used a 4mm ID silicone hose from amazon. Silicon is heat resistant and the 4mm ID made a nice connection. The nipple size is around 4.8mm on the valves.
