Sadly true. And I would assume that the participants in this forum are among the more interested and knowledgeable Porsche enthusiasts.

I deselected water temp, because it means nothing in normal operation. You'll get a CEL if there is a coolant temperature problem. So you do not need it.

For my 4 displayed parameters, I chose Boost Pressure, Battery Voltage, Oils Temperature, and Oil Pressure.

I had my car out on it's weekly run today; ya'll correct, the water temp was dead nuts on 194F. I removed the water temp from the MFD list and ended up with Oil Pressure, Oil Temperature, Battery Voltage and Compass. Thanks for the clarification.

Ever since we got married, my wife says I have CRS (*) syndrome.

I'd sooner have it display the ACTUAL temperature over its full range.

If you are used to monitoring instruments like in an aircraft, changes tell you something under the same conditions.

Its going to jump around between 175 and 220F depending upon when the fans and pump in the water cooling circuit turn on and off.
The oil temp is the smoothed temp of the engine.

In Sport Mode 0n my 991.1, both the water temp and the oil temp drop 15 to 20 degrees in the Sport mode. Perhaps a warmer engine produces better gas mileage. And noting at the track, water temp was about 212, but oil temp got to 270 degrees. Many folks have told me, no worries....I worry, coming from an oil cooled history. My former 993 oil temp was never above 220 on hot track days. It did have a second radiator. My 80 SC with an IROC center cooler in the front valance, ran cooler yet, maxed out at about 210.

I do have my eye on the 991.1 Center Radiator upgrade from Suncoast Porsche, Rennline sells them as well..

No! Only once, on my '15 Macan Turbo and only once on my '17 911 C2S with X51 PowerKit.
These are the most important parameters available for display :

This thread is timely, I JUST noticed that my oil temp in my T in “Normal” mode settles around 223F, but in Sport it hovers around 196.

Is the car actually doing something different in Sport/+ to keep the oil cooler or is it just changing the report?
