Can a 991 give Porsche its first overall win at Pikes Peak in the 99th running? I wouldn't have bet on it last year, but David Donner came within 1.069 second of doing just that—and this year's trio of 991s from Champion Racing and BBi for drivers Romain Dumas, David Donohue, and Raphael Astier look even quicker.

They face strong competition in class and overall from a surprisingly fast (!) Bentley and then the usual mix of purpose-built open wheelers, EVs, and pure prototypes. Was fun to watch last year…
