Timely thread for me. Looking at the following options for 991.2 with PDLS Plus. If I'm going this route rather than buying new, I would go with the blackout option. I'm seeing 3 options.
Rennlights
Lightwerkz
BayOptiks
Outside of Rennlights which I'm happy to see have some great reviews in this thread, is there any feedback on the other two vendors? (Lightwerkz & BayOptiks) They're all priced in the same ballpark so final results & timely customer service could be the key differentiators.
I see that BayOptiks offers option for PPF already installed. Curious if anyone has gone with that or done PPF immediately after on their own.
I used lightwerkz and they came out perfect. I live on the other side of the country and he was able to receive, replace, resend, in a matter of 4 days (Sent monday, recieved tuesday, shipped out wednesday, recieved thursday)
BayOptiks is down the road from me, though I have not used their product, a lot of the P Car folks in our community rave about their high quality of work.
Awesome write up... What is the best way to remove the lip and glue of the lens that is in the headlight channel after cutting it out?
Thanks
Hi there. Sure. Small answer: L shaped pick took. That remaining lip is very flexible. Be careful of course on using too much force and wear gloves. You don't want oil body on the inner headlight housing. About the glue, you just have to come to terms that you will never fully remove all the glue. You can remove carefully 95% with a common blade and big residues with a pick tool. You will be left with a lot of small "glue splinters", so to avoid contamination I used a vaccuum after I finished the removal. It is no so important (IMO) to leave completely clean the channel, but clean enough as to allow the new cover to sit al seal properly. It is like changing engine oil, you will never get rid of all the old oil: IMO.
Best of luck! Would be nice you post your process... that may help others as well.
Thanks brother! I’m getting my sonic cutter in the mail tomorrow and I’ll get going on the swap. Will update!

I had my damaged headlight (PDLS+) lenses replaced by RENNLIGHTS and the quality is absolutely phenomenal. Not only that but Paolo was great to talk with and provided excellent and extremely timely communication during the process. I could not be more pleased and I am highly recommending their services! The swap was handled by a local indy that also did the shipping (at my cost of course) and receiving. Don't forget the ask for the PCA discount!
Wanted to put this out there so others would know - stay away from BayOptiks.
Go with anyone else.
I chose BayOptiks because they had a Black Friday / Winter Sale. $700! Which is a few hundred dollars cheaper than others so I thought I was getting a deal.
They received my lights on December 19th but they still haven't completed them yet! It's almost been 6 weeks. I'm not getting anything painted or any internals upgraded. Simply changing the lens on my GTS headlights.
I'm still unsure of the progress because they are extremely slow to respond to emails. No phone number. Yikes.
Anyways, I felt that I should share with the community that BayOptiks sucks.

Nick- good to know. I am about to contact them and bring my headlights since they are local to me.
