Default 2016 911 GTS

Hey Everyone,
I’m looking at buying my first 911 and currently looking at a 2016 911 GTS 7MT with a bit under 13k miles. This would be my first 911 which I’m excited about but would appreciate any insights to things I need to look for and/or check out before buying. Thanks.

Best,
Johann

It will be gone before you get people to respond and somebody else will be driving and enjoying it

That is pretty close to the stats on my car. Curious what the ask is? Make sure the maintenance checks out. Get ready to enjoy.

That is less miles than my '19 C4S. The engine on mine seemed to really settle in after 10k.

A manual is not as common as PDK at least in the US, so this may be something to seriously consider.

From what is being reported, many cars, new and used, are in very short supply, don't know were you're located, but as someone else implied, don't wait too long.

Of course, have the car pre-inspected and get all of it's service records, water pumps and change over valves seem to come up as issues. The battery should have been replaced, if not, it's due.

Like others have said.. in Today's market it will be gone before most of us get a chance to respond.

Put a deposit down contingent on clean PPI, get a PPI including over-rev report. Buy and enjoy

Porsche of West Palm Beach has a newly aquired 2016 GTS manual with 1,600 miles. Asking $149,000. Insanity.

.1 GTS prices have skyrocketed in the last few months (at or above MSRP) and they’re actually selling at these prices. Good news for owners but bad news if you’re in the market for one.

When I bought my 2017 S the 2016 GTS was the same price...
The GTS is WORTH more now....

Did I make a wrong choice, nah... wasnt investment and I still can make 10k on my car which is nuts lol!
plus need for BOOST

Good news Only for those who want to sell and move onto another car (read not 911).. almost every trim level is up 15%-20% from pre-covid (December 2019 and before) prices.. Unless you are willing to cash out of the 911 game, high resale prices are just pointless

the thought of flipping my GTS for a 30% profit is tempting but the only cars that I would want to trade up for are selling for similar premiums. there was a great spec 3k mile GT3 Touring that sold on BaT a couple of years ago for $168k and I remember thinking that i'll just let them depreciate for a couple more years and then try and get into one...... so much for that plan. I had the same thought about 05/06 Ford GT's at one point when they could be had for $200k.

I remember when you could get the Ford GT''s in 2009 for for 150-170's range... My Dad Almost got one... ended up getting a new C6 Z06...
He said I wished I talked him into the Ford GT....
