Oh boy... I hope you have your flame suit on because the Carrera T cult members will make you pay for saying that... They truly believe Carrera Ts are made out of mustache clippings from Ferdinand himself.

It is easy to have that assertion as long as one is amnestic about any 911 before 2017..so they aren't wrong I suppose
Is that an MR-2 in your Sig? I had a '93 Turbo back in 1994 - Loved that car (even with its snap oversteer )

What are realistic options for adding noticeable power to a 991.1 base with the 3.4L? I’m thinking in the 10-12k range? I love my spec and with the current price of cars I think I would rather spend a few bucks to add some real HP and more importantly low end torque that I can feel than buy a new car. Please don’t reply with it’s cheaper to buy an S. I get it I don’t care I love my spec otherwise and don’t care what is cheaper if I can stay in my budget.
Plenum/tb/good tune is a nice little change in sound/performance on the 3.4 for the money
honestly have to consider just waiting a little longer and upping the budget x2.2 and have John at BGB throw in an x51 motor
I’m afraid you’ll spend 12k+ on every bolt on and maybe still not be completely happy? You know for sure you’ll be happy with an x51 all said and done. My .02

Thank you all for the responses. I have decided on the following mods. Kline exhaust with headers and 200 cell cats. (Tune) not sure what yet. I’m going to do a custom rear seat delete. Antigravity battery forged wheels, and front S brake conversion. I will keep updated on the weight saving.

Another upgrade to consider would be coil-overs. While it won't lighten your car, the handling improvement will definitely be felt. Especially if you're removing weight.
Consider Litespeed Racing forged wheels. Great pricing for fantastic wheels!

400 HP, 50 more than the Carrera base Motor, sell your car for stupid money, by a Carrera S for stupid money.
I have been taking Porsche cars to the track for 30 years. And in that time did 10 years of wheel to wheel in a race prepped 993. My point, I recognize superior handling when I experience it.
Fresh back from Willow Springs, driving cautiously, first time 991.1 S and had been to the track. No Sport Chrono, no Sport PASM, just basic PASM. It has PDK and Sport Exhaust. Mother of God, this car is freaking awesome. only mods are RS29 Pagid pads and RE 71 tires. This car needs no mods for me to be happy. Comes with PASM, PSM, PTV and big brakes, 350 mm front calipers, same size as what were on my former 2004 GT3. Sure, the 991.1 weighs about 200 Lbs more.. it’s quicker than the GT3 right out of the gate.
The downside of mods, on many occasions, they’ll over promise and under deliver. Beyond that, at some point you’ll sell the car, and the mods will need to come off to get the most money for your car. When you sell these parts, get 25% of what you paid or them.
I have spent lots of money on pre991.1 cars; they needed it. This car needs oh so very little. 400 HP and 3,200 Lbs. Goes a long way to making a high performance vehicle, pretty much turn key.
I know I’ll get lots of pushback on this post, so I’ll not subscribe😀
