Default The Two 991.1 "Love" Tests

And my car past both:
  1. When you walk away from the car, do you stop for a moment, look around and take a peek? I did, and will continue with this practice,
  2. Do you take the long way home? I did just to get some more 1 on 1 with the car. Enjoyed every moment.
Closing with, having only a few hundred miles on the new (to me) car (A short lived condition), I just can't believe how well it performs, it's tight with no squeaks or rattles, handles like a dream, from the mild hammered street mode (seldom in this), to the aggressive and throaty tome of the Sport Exhaust. My prior Porsche was a 2015 Cayman GTS PDK, Sport Suspension.....the 991.1 is far superior, 60 more HP, lots more room inside, 600 cc more displacement....yes, it is 200 Lbs heavier, but that incremental 60 HP seems to make up for that.

In contrast, we do have a 2021 Tesla Model Y with Sport Package....acceleration? scary quick...and stealthy, no exhaust note to wake up the neighborhood, or the policeman lounging behind a tree. But want I really miss is the induction and corresponding exhaust note, as is car is on its way to cruising speed and in a passing opportunity.

If you are looking for a 991.1, keep looking....as we just saw on the PCA Tech Tactics Live, #28, the 991.1 may be the best Porsche ever, with few ****** in its armor. for somewhat modern cars, have had 1997 Carrera, a 2004 GT3, a 2015 Cayman GTS, and now the 991.1, the crème de la crème 911 in the opinion of many Porsche experts. The last of the NA Porsche cars with an incredible automatic, the PDK, and its Sport Mode.

doesn't a GTS have a 3.4 and the 1.S/GTS is 3.8? so 400cc more displacement rather than 600cc?

Default That’s great.

Us P-Car addicts always look back after parking the 911. It’s a timeless design which is why we all love looking at it. I will sometimes even take a picture with my phone as I walk away.

Yup, I do both! What that's honey, we need milk? Be right back! 60 minutes later.......... Sometimes I even remember the milk.
