Also take a look at Cargraphic.

Default So if you did fabspeed catted headers with pse

Would avoid the complicated path right ?

PRIOR to my purchase, I noticed that the Fabspeed primary exhaust path routes through the mufflers and the secondary/branch is the valves open straight to the tips. This means that exhaust is always taking a complex route to exit. Both Soul and OEM PSE have primary route straight to the tips(inner) with open valves, and secondary/branch to the mufflers(outer tips).

We're using an X-pipe AND anti-drone tubes - and we have the performance. RR Racing just did dyno testing on our Valved Exhaust and Long Tube Street Headers. They saw massive max power gains of 26.5 whp and 36 ft-lbs at 4,250 RPM with hardware alone. ECU tuning extracted either further gains for a total of 44.1 WHP and 50.13 ft-lbs of torque! They chose us as the exhaust option for their supercharger kit for good reason!

Sound is subjective - but we're confident our system will please anyone looking exhilaration.

I've had Soul and Fabspeed on numerous cars. They both have great craftmanship (womanship if you are in Cali so don't get triggered) and customer service. You cant go wrong either way.

Sorry Mike, I based my comment off of the little GIF animation on the site, that flips between red/blue. And from photos it looks like the pipes are just welded at the U and they just do the loop.

X pipe FTW

Fabspeed Valvetronic Exhaust not operating properlyI have a 991.2 GTS 4 with the following mods. APR Tune ecu and tcu, ipd plenum, AMS Intercooler, EVOM Diverter Valves, APR Throttle Controller. The care has PSE and works under these conditions fine. However, when I added the fabspeed valvetronic exhaust, when in quiet mode the valves do not open at 3500-4000 rpm and this seems to choke the engine. I contacted fabspeed but they didn't reply. I did speak to Joe at Fabspeed through email and he thought it might be a tune issue. But, if the pse operates fine under these conditions why wouldn't the fabspeed? Any help would be appreciated.

Vacuum valves on an exhaust are a very simple thing. They stay open via spring pressure and vacuum overwhelms that spring pressure to close them. It would make more sense to me that you have a vacuum supply issue going to your valves that controls them open or closed. You might have a vacuum solenoid sticking that constantly supplies vacuum to the valves not allowing them to open. I’d suggest you or a shop does some diagnostics on vacuum control of the valves. The tuners I’ve worked with on the 991.2 platform say the valve control function cannot be changed in the ECU as it’s in a different module compared to the 991.1 gen cars, so I would be very surprised if it was a software problem.

John Gaydos

I have a 991.2 C2 with PSE and almost the exact same mods with zero issues. My car is manual.
My mods are:
Soul Headers
Soul Sport Cats
Tial Intercoolers
Tial Inlet Tubes
Tial Hoses
Tial Intake Plenum
APR Tune

This is one of the main reasons why Soul was started. CS with Fabspeed was lacking.

John, Thanks for your input. The shop did a bench test and the valves are operating fine at the bench. We put the stock pse muffler back on and the valves operate normally. It's only the x pipe withe helical valves that are not operating in quite mode when accelerating.

I m starting to have some issues with them as of late. They shipped out my new exhaust for a 997 and not a 991 ( like I have). We are going on a bit over a week now with 2 hard dates, and 1 soft date, for shipping out not met, and a bunch of "reasons' for that.

I purchased my exhaust from them for my GT4 a while back and the experience was awesome, this is why I ordered from them for the RS.

Fingers X'D this isn't going to be I wished I had purchased from someone else, experience.

I put Fabspeed headers on my 2014S, and the NA symphony that resulted is amazing. I can highly recommend the Fabspeed headers

I've had Fabspeed on my last 3 Porsches. My new to me C4S has NHP headers on it, which come from a "taiwan" (chinese) factory called Liang Fei, but are marketed by Maxspeed motors, which is likely now defunct since their website hasnt worked in awhile.. Which originally approached fabspeed as a "bargain option" that they declined. Yes Soul was created by former Fabspeed employees, we could be here all day regaling the drama and all that. Bottom line is I'm pulling off the liang fei produced headers and going with fabspeed again.

They are marketed on their website as MCK Exhaust. I'd link the NHP header but the website is defunct.

Soul has stated they do a bead blast in house and "QC checks" when I asked them years ago what the difference was. I've heard they are producing the exhausts in house themselves now. The difference in the weld lines may confirm that, or one may just be grinded down, not sure, the geometry is identical. Soul weld lines also match the Topgear headers, which are also Liang Fei produced, but are priced as such.
