Default Paint care

I have a 2015 991 GTS (MT) that I purchased new after several back surgeries. While I can still drive it, I can no longer deal with the detailing which I did weekly. The car is GAWJUS.

I have accumulated many well respected chemicals that do a great job. One, called TORQUE, is a polish and assumes that I wash the car before applying. It works great as long as I wash the car before beginning. I am 77 yoa and no longer able to wash my 3 cars.

I have recently acquired a product called Mequiar's Ultimate Wash and Wax Anywhere which I have been reluctant to use anywhere. The last sample of a Mequiar's product blackened my wheels. However, due to their good faith, Mequiar's replaced the damaged portion of my wheels. So, I am now a happy camper.

My question is if any fan of car cleaning has ever used this product, Mequiar's Ultimate Wash and Wax Anywhere . It actually looks quite fine if applied properly.

Thumbs up Meguiar's alternates

Have used the wash & Wax for yrs. but look for SONAX shampoo, $15 / its a German wash, - it will clean the whole car- wheels, glass, & trim etc and the car will be ready for a wax... its two steps but worth it //

when washing after waxing it will re new the wax. SONAX has waxes , a bit expensive, but you will not have wax more than 2x a yr

Megiuars has a wax prod for $8 (WalMart) thats cover polish and wax *very easy to work with last 90 days outdoors

I've use Maguirs Ultimate Wash and Wax successfully for years. It keeps a relatively dirt free, well waxed/protective coated finish in fine shape, so long as I remove real grime and dirt that could scratch the clear coat if wiped. So I usually first use a wet towel to loosen and remove visible grime- such as brake dust heavy enough to coat a finger tip. Do a a section at a time. If there is more than dust I just wash the car first with conventional car wash (Maguires works as well as anything).

PS- I have tried numerous "waterless wash" competitors and find none works any better than Maguires product. Best prices and easiest procurement from Amazon.

Meguir's is fine and will do the trick

If you'd like to make life even easier, get in touch with a good detailer and ask them to apply ppf/ceramic coating to your car. The upfront cost is well worth the convenience and beauty

BIG fan of Griot's products... just about all of them. Their latest DIY Ceramic Wash-N-Coat and Ceramic 3 in1 products are incredible. The paint was already in good shape, but truly, the Griot's Ceramic products took it to an entirely new level!
