Default Warranty Windshield Replacement

So, I'm going in soon for a warranty windshield replacement.

To make a long story short, when I bought the car, I noticed the rear view mirror was loose....the whole thing. Rain sensor and all.

Talked to a tech there, he said the windshield needed replacement based on a TSB. I was stoked......just laid a butt ton of money on a car and immediately needs a windshield, GREAT. Apperantly the glue holding the assembly to the windshield fails and causes this issue.

Drive it back to my home area and scheduled an appointment to get it done. They were confused by it, until I pointed out the alleged TSB.

I'm happy it's getting replaced actually, 55k miles of highway crud beating up on the windshield, gone. It's going to be clear as day, I can't wait.

Happened to mine as well a couple years ago. Was driving down the road and the rear view mirror just falls off. Dealership replaced windshield under CPO warranty. It must be a thing.

Were your mirror issues for a 991.1 or 991.2... and what years?
