Swap my 991.2 GTS for a new Audi R8 Performance? Am I crazy?

If I wanted an Audi V10 I would buy a Huracan.

This is a good take.
The R8 is certainly on a higher tier in the sports car hierarchy than a 911... but it's no lambo. (Even though it actually is...)
I'd stretch the budget and get a Performante if I was heading down this road.

I currently have a 19 4GTS and previous had 911 many 911s. I also had a 2017 R8 and there is not a single day I asked myself if I should go back to one. Forget speed and performance, R8 is a special car and the engine/exhaust is beyond amazing. In fact, I bought my current GTS after another R8 was sold and I couldn’t wait any longer. But one issue with R8 is space. I am not tall or obese but alway felt tight.

I think the R8 is stunning; one of the best looking cars out there and have also contemplated whether I should scratch that itch. For me, it has the right mix of raw angry beauty without going overboard. Lambo's are awesome but don't think I could ever own one as they are a bit too much flash for me (maybe the Countash from Cannonball Run #childhood) If it is an occasional car then I think it would be great. If closer to a daily thing, you can't beat the mix of utility, reliability and performance of a 911. Can you beat up an R8 like you can a 911 and it still asks for more?

I had a poster of a Lambo Countach growing up. It was my car **** pin up. The Lambos are gorgeous cars but I'm not a big fan of their modern version looks. Call me crazy but it's definitely different strokes for different folks. If I were to spend Lambo money, I'd go with a Ferrari but that's just me. I'm nearing a deal on a new R8 Performance model and should know by COB today. Exciting times for sure!
This car could totally blend in at a starbucks drive thru.

Well ladies and gents, I pulled the trigger on a R8 Performance. It’s been fun and engaging here on the 991 forum. I’ll be back to being a lurker on Rennlist and look forward to my next 911 in a few years. Hasta la vista, baby!
Almost forgot...my mint condition ‘19 C2 GTS is up for sale, if anyone is interested.

I have owned both. 911 is more refined and better for long trips. R8 is a more "exciting" weekend car. There is no wrong answer.
