My 2013 cS2 has slot for mini Ss card . I watched a video on setting up jukebox in audio. Will it work in my car and what are your thoughts?

Not sure Ss card but you can copy MP3 musics on regular SD Card and listen just like USB thumb drive.
For Jukebox function. you can copy all SD card musics onto PCM harddrive as Jukebox music collection as well.

The "porsche" logo under the screen is actually a flip-up cover, hiding two SD card slots and one SIM card slot..

This is a 991.2 you are referring to.
991.1 don't have SD card slots. Only the 991.2s do.
The only slot under the screen on a 991.1 is an SIM Card tray and a CD/CVD slot.

What the SIM card used for in the 991.1? So jukebox and downloading music is not an option with 991.1 cars?

There are two USB slots. One in the armrest and one in the glovebox. Copy your Music to an USB-Stick and then plug it in, play it direct from the stick or copy it to the internal hard drive of the PCM aka "JukeBox".

I believe it's used to make/receive calls from you car without using a handheld or tethered phone. By putting the SIM card in its slot, your car has a built in phone.
Verizon would not issue a duplicate SIM card to me.

Porsche Connect Services allow you to remotely control your car. Connection is via cellular network. The SIM card is needed for that.
