Thanks but hearsay interests me less than primary sources. Every document returned by a search result says 4 years, not 3. Anyway, enjoy your vacation.

I have recently done the plugs on my 991.2. The dealer charge is somewhere between $900-1200 and they are fair with that fee based on the work. In all it would take an experienced mechanic at least 3-4 hours not including cool down to do although a dealer would probably charge for more hours. No gapping of the plugs needed in my experience-just verify they are not out of whack and similar to what the gap is on the plugs coming out. I did mine at the 3 year mark around 15k miles but can say for sure the interval is 30k miles/4 years. Plugs didn’t need to be changed at all-but it’s based on having them seize in the head due to time imo.

My ‘19 owner’s manual says plugs at 3/30 and a duck duck go search reveals the same for me. Anyway, best of luck.

The steps involved for spark plug change that I've seen are listed in a 991.1 service/workshop manual extract of procedures that was posted here somewhere (forgot where), in below order. Please note: I am not a professional mechanic, nor have I done this job on a Porsche, I'm just trying to summarize the steps and work that's listed in the procedures for the plugs. My 30K/4 year plug change is coming up, and I'm most likely going to let the dealer do this particular job.

Remove wheel(s)
For ignition coils on cyl 1 and 4: Remove rear wheel housing liner(s) (at the rear).
Remove intake manifold
Remove turbocharger
Remove heat shield at the top
Remove Ignition Coils
Remove and reinstall spark plugs.

The procedures don't mention gapping the plugs.

That’s great! I’d love to know what you’ve found out about it. How long it takes? What steps are involved? Etc. Been searching for answers for this for months. Seems like only Porsche knows how to do this.

Thank you for mentioning the videos, but if I wanted to go down a YouTube rabbithole and spend hours watching videos, I would not have posted here. People who are knowledgeable in these areas have the wherewithal to provide answers to these right off the top of their heads, eliminating conjecture and the expenditure of lots of time.
Polobai did a photo DIY a of the spark plug change. Have you seen that?

Yup, I saw that this morning. Very informative. I won’t be doing it myself; as I say, want to do it at dealer while under warranty because I suspect they might be frozen on there.

I highly doubt they will be given the mileage but anything is possible. It is a bit of an intricate procedure so I can see the reason behind taking it in-just be sure to shop around for quotes. One guy got a quote for $850 and another for $1800...

My car sat around for 14 months before sold new- the exhaust manifold bolts are corroded to hell and likely frozen on there- I compared with other cars and mine looks awful. Therefore I am imagining the spark plugs might present a problem. But if performed under warranty, anything that breaks should be covered.
