PASM is always on, and it adjust stiffness, not ride height.
Yes you are correct. This is commonly misunderstood which I was guilty of. Nothing in the owners manual but online research of several articles on PASM do say the 911s suspension with PASM are 10mm lower than 911s without the option. Activation does not lower the suspension and PASM is always on and the choice is an adjustment of stiffness and depending on which mode you are in there is a corresponding adjustment to Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC). This came from the owners manual page 184.

I thought I saw a post where height dropped 10mm with PASM and SPASM dropped it 20mm (static) and it the outside edge of the tire and lip of fender that would be of concern. If it doesn’t drop then I wouldn’t worry about another 5mm width with the 305’s

There are three levels of suspension tuning (basically the springs) you can order on a Porsche. 1) standard/base, 2) PASM (10 mm lower than standard), and 3) SPASM ( 10 mm lower than PASM or 20 mm lower than standard). Your car, as shipped from the factory, has only ONE (1) of these. In addition, some cars will have the ability to further tune the performance of the suspension (basically the shocks) on their cars by switching to "Sport" or "Sport+". These settings do not affect the height of the car. Just sayin'...

mine has SC, there is a static difference in height between a base, PASM and SPASM but for the OP I doubt there’s an issue with 305 tires on the rear. Enjoy your 🍻

Good post. Until know I didn’t know about SPASM. I have seen 10 and 20 tossed about and it was contradictory and confusing. So as previously mentioned by AdamSanta85 the ride height does not change with activation of PASM or SPASM, ride height is set by the option.

SPASM was pointed out in the beginning, not sure why you don’t make it easy on everyone and contact the vendor directly about your concerns.
I have done a search and have not come up with much. What I gathered from the internet is I could put 7mm in the front and 15mm in the rear. I went to Suncoast and all they sell are the 5mm Porsche oem spacers. At Sharkwerks they recommend that for a non-lowered Carrera S or with PASM should only put 7mm on the rear, not 15mm. The Carrera base could take 15mm. My thought is it must be the PASM lowering the suspension when activated causing the restriction to 7mm. I have 20" 305 wheels in the back.
What spacers are being used out there on 991 CS or 991s with PASM??
As a post script I do have to check and see if I already have the optioned 5mm spacers.
We recommend 8mm Front and 12-15mm Rear depending on how aggressive you want the rear to look. Also note that our 8mm Spacers are one of the only Hub Centric in that size on the market, so no issues with vibration.
No issue at all for PASM cars! We have been using spacers on PASM cars ever since it has been introduced.

I went with 7mm front and 15mm rear on my ‘13 C2S with PASM. Love the look. I went the cheap route and bought them on Amazon.bought the longer bolts there also. Don’t wast your money on the high priced brand name spacers. They are simple pieces of aluminum that anyone with a lathe could make. Just make sure they are “hub centric.” Here are the ones I bought:
Not to muddy the waters but you have OEM Sport Techno wheels which are .5” wider front and back as compared to the standard S wheels or any other optioned 20” wheel for the 991.1 S (except the 50th anniversary wheels which are also the same size as your’s but different offsets due to the wide body 50th). That makes a difference too. Porsche (Suncoast) only offers 5mm spacers for a reason. Same can be found in your owners manual. Will thicker ones work? Sure, but Porsche does not recommend it. Just saying.

I do have OEM Sport Techno’s and just saw yesterday that Suncoast has a note that the 5mm are not compatible with the Sport Techno’s.

I have 5mm OEM spacers all-around and have 20” carrera classic wheels with 305 rear Michelin Pilot Sport 4S fitted on. Car is a 991.1 Carrera S.
