So I was cleaning my car today and removed the panel to get to the front compartment where the battery is located and noticed my alarm siren just laying around (but connected). I haven't had this off since just prior to the 2 year and 4 year services performed in October. So the first question is where does this get mounted and with what part? I have circled in yellow what I suspect to be the location but am not sure. Also would this be removed for any reason during the 2 or 4 year maintenance? Thanks.

So I found this pic on a battery replacement thread that answers one of my questions.

Bingo. Someone took if off put the screw back into the hole and then just flopped the siren there. Very sloppy. Probably had to access whatever lives under that box/case.

Battery was replaced in Nov 2018. Hate to think its been sitting like that for over two years.
