Not sure if this is the same issue but on my 958 Cayenne I noticed the same thing. However, I discovered if I turn the key to 1 notch (not starting the car) the seat will adjust fully. But if I turn the key & start the car while the seat is adjusting it will stop. So what I end of having to do now is turn the key once while I wait for the seat to adjust and close the door, then start the car.

I don't recall newer car have this issue.

I normally lift myself out of the seat - sometimes when starting the car, and almost all the time when I turn off the engine and open the door. My thought pattern is that not leaving the full body weight on the seat as it moves means less stress on the seat motor. I have never had an issue with the seat not moving when I do this. I have a 2015, so maybe i do not have am occupancy sensor
