im having similar issues with my 2012 991.1 S PDK car misfires comes and goes but more often it will shredder/vibration. Runs very smooth when there is no misfiring. I’ve replaced coils, plugs, vvt solenoids and cam shaft position sensor. Still having issues after replacing all this. Did your friend change the HPFP or the fuel feeder pump inside the tank?
I was thinking it might be the feeder pump inside tank since all this started happening after a bad batch of fuel. Feeder pump has an integrated fuel filter
