I'm thinking of adding the JoyeAuto Carplay module to my 991. The AutoAmatuer and other Youtube channels gave some excellent info on the installation process, etc.

Are there any downsides to adding CarPlay ? How can I use my other apps while Carplay is in use. For instance, I use the Valentine1 - V1 driver app while I'm driving. Will I need to exit Carplay to access that app ?

Since iOS13 you can use your phone while using carplay without changing what's on the carplay screen.

Only upsides for me. Transformed that aspect of the car for me.
