I had a service done at dealer last weekend and my invoice also shows WMD1, but my satellite map did not work on my way home. I can go out and test again today or tomorrow (hadn't driven the car since then).

Mine stopped working yesterday....
Same thing happened on my 2018 Audi R8 - the dealer had to do some software stuff and moved it from Google Earth to another provider.

I emailed Porsche NA and haven't heard back from them yet.
I left VM with the dealer to see if they had an update to fix this but they haven't called me back yet. It's annoying when you pay a subscription for this service and then it suddenly disappears with no comment from Porsche.

Mine stopped working two days ago (Panamera 2017). I live in Europe. I checked my Porsche Connect subscription status and there is no Google Earth option anymore. It was paid but it simply disapeared!

I'm beginning to wonder if what my software update delivered as SAT Map is now native to Porsche's Navi system and no longer requires a Porsche Car Connect subscription. Of course, Porsche would probably NOT volunteer that information.

What is most interesting after reading this internal Porsche memo to the dealers is it reveals that Porsche and Google have parted ways .. at least in regards to the older PCM interface and Porsche Car Connect AND that the Dealerships and Porsche were also fighting over who would have to absorb the cost of upgrading the customers with 2017 and 2018 model vehicles .. and the result is Porsche making this an official 'Recall Campaign' so the dealers can get reimbursed for their labor and materials to upgrade those cars. But what about the 2012 to 2016's? I suspect the owner's of those vehicles will have to pay out of pocket for this software download unfortunately.

Picked up our 911 from its major service today. Google maps work. However, the PCM has NO sound. Nothing for the radio, nothing for my phone. Also, the Sirius XM is completely different: lots of SXM items but most former channels only show the logo. Now there is a volume slide above the channels. It tunes the channels, but NO sound. Ditto for AM and FM. Will suffer thru the weekend before bugging the dealer. The work order says they did something with the SIM card. ??
On the positive side, at the dealer were some loaner cars. There was a Honda CRV parked next to a Cayenne. The paint job on the Honda looked like it was done at a back alley shop in Tijuana. While the Cayenne (like both of our Porsches) had a gorgeous paint job.
