Default Squeaky/Squealing Brakes

First time posting...I know this has been covered in other threads but I am having trouble finding an answer to my specific dilemma.

I have a 2014 C4S PDK Cabriolet 20 inch wheels with 30,000 miles. I purchased it about 6 months ago and for the first 3 months the brakes were silent. 3 months ago the brakes started squeaking/squealing with soft stops. Sometimes the squeal is so loud that other drivers stop and stare. It seems to temporarily abate with a thorough washing but quickly returns. Never happens with hard braking. I took it to the dealership and they gave me the standard line that they are high performance brakes and some squealing is to be expected. They inspected the brakes and told me they are in perfect working order. I am just finding it hard to believe that a car that sold for $140,000 new would have brakes that are supposed to squeal so loud that pedestrians turn and stare. Any thoughts on how I can at least lessen the noise? Thanks.

They are not squeaking. They are vibrating.

Get used to it. Hard braking will be generally squeak-free. Soft braking will squeak. You can try a series of hard stops, which will help for a little while, but the noise will return.

It’s taken about 600 miles for the Ferodo Racing pads to bed into the Sebro slotted discs. It probably would have taken less if I had done the canyon run I did a couple of weeks ago that seems to have done the trick as they haven’t squealed since.....this is for the rears, the fronts bedded in in about 50 miles.

It's a feature, not a fault according to Porsche.

Can aftermarket pads or rotors help?

You're baby'ing your brakes.

Your pads are most likely glazed.

Do some hard stops (short of triggering the ABS) from 80 mph to about 15 mph. Repeat for about 5x.

Squeaky brakes = race car

Well that’s my explanation to folks.

Thanos = Squealing 911 Brakes because they are both inevitable. https://media0.giphy.com/media/ie76d...Dcf83e/200.gif

Any after market pads that prevent this?

Yah, mine do the same. When cold, or after driving/braking hard, they are quiet. Only when slightly warm and at low speed, loud squeaking. A friend of mine told me outright that I need to change my pads NOW.... and that's what most people think when they hear loud, squeaky brakes. My pads still have plenty of meat on them though.

I had the exact same issue with my 981. According to the previous owners service records, the front pads and rotors were replaced 30-35k miles ago. I purchase new Zimmermann rotors and Pagid pads and did the brake job myself. Did a few hard stops from 60-0 to help bed them in....never a peep after that.

I have 2000 miles on my brakes, 30,000 on the car.
Seems like as soon as I build up some brake dust they start making noise. As long as I keep them clean it’s quiet.

The best solution for squeaky brakes is to make sure they are bedded-in properly. When pads are heated to a certain temperature, the material comes off the pad and sticks to the disc face creating a pad transfer layer. That pad transfer layer provides a surface with similar friction levels for the pads to bite into, and has a damping effect on noise and vibration. If you drive around with the brakes cold on the street, that layer will eventually scrape off, and you'll need to do another bed-in. When you go to the track, the brakes get hot enough on the first lap to start this process. When race pads are left in the calipers and they're driven cold, they can very quickly scrape off the pad transfer layer. These two videos tell you everything you need to know:
