Default NPD - My 991.1 C4S

Upcoming 50th birthday, and I had extreme spousal support (even prodding) to buy my first Porsche since 2005 and the 911 I've always wanted.

My search ended a few weeks ago when I found this blue 991.1 at an Audi dealer in St. Louis. It's a 2016 C4S, had 26K miles, and they had it listed at $86K, which felt a little low. I found a mechanic to do a PPI by asking here, and it came back pretty clean - one rear shock oddly leaking, which sets me up to replace both the rears. Not cheap but still kept me ahead of the market for 2016s right now, so I took the plunge.

Flew to St. Louis from Denver 3 weeks ago, picked it up, drove it home. 12 hours, split into two pieces.

The paint had been a little neglected by my standards and today was my first chance to remedy that. Here, now that I'm done, is what she looks like.

Looks like Dark Blue Metallic to me; my guess. I had a Boxster GTS in DBM. Great color.
Congrats. Those Turbo wheels are a PIA to keep clean.

A couple. It wasn't horrible, but there were a lot of swirls.

It's Dark Blue Metallic. Looks purple in certain light.

The wheels are a mystery of the car's history. They are not the wheels on the build sheet. I didn't like them in the picture but I do like them in person. I might have preferred the dark grey wheels.

Garage for now. My fuse is a little wet on the $ end of it, and I have a Tahoe that I can take out whenever the weather isn't nice. Maybe next year.
