Speaker upgrades, sound deadening, amps, etc. are regular subjects here—and for good reason, as I have no doubt there are ways to improve the audio experience, and particularly when it comes to the tweeters in the Bose system.

However, PCM's lack of a graphic or parametric EQ seems like a far better first step. All you get are treble, bass, balance, and fader—plus a few Bose settings that seem to me more gimmick than anything else.

Whether by an EQ bypass or via a software upgrade, adjusting/improving/optimizing what's already there before hardware upgrades seems like a no-brainer. Having mixed sound in the past, I am pretty sure I could find a worthwhile improvement. Do any such products exist?
