This is for 1 2014 991.1 Carrera S manual. My check engine light went on the other day and I got the engine control fault still possible to drive message. I hooked my icarsoft V2.0 and in the diagnostic mode it found the check engine code (00A016) but would not clear it. I had the ignition on but car was not running - if that matters. How do I find the code that is causing the check engine light on the icarsoft device. I searched but could not find any specific help. I'm sure its my non-tech savvy fault.
Appreciate any help.

The icarsoft device works very well. It was my unfamiliarity with it that caused the problem. Once I figured out that I could pull the check engine codes in the OBD2 section I could see the errors. The error was from a show leak in the evap control system. I cleaned the grit off the gas cap and pipe, put it back on and cleared the code. Everything OK so far after a couple of test drives.
