Could be, and I like local solutions on something like this a lot. Also had a good experience with Sharkwerks as a paying customer rather than merely a critic.

We'll see, but I have an internal battle with actually not hating how "quiet" the car is most of the time since my 914 is anything but…

Understood. Your 914 sounds FABULOUS in the video on the 000 website! I found out that Sharkwerks also has an exhaust for 991.2 Carreras with PSE. I have asked them why their exhaust does not have interstate drone while the SpeedTech does. We shall see.

God bless,
TT

The fundamental design difference is the SpeedTech has the X-section crossover which creates a shorter tube compared to the Sharkwerks. Longer tube has a lower resonant frequency compared to a shorter tube which has a higher resonant frequency. So it may just be the longer tubes of the Sharkwerks resonate at a lower engine speed that's below highway cruising, so that you don't notice it. Just a guess.

Hey guys as the owner of a shark works cat back for my non-PSE equipped 991.2, I can assure you that it doesn’t drone. Not up high not in the middle and not down low. In my opinion it just sounds great. The guys at sharkwerks were amazing to work with and I highly recommend them.

Next Alex is going to tell me they're willing to have the pipes ceramic-coated black…

I can 100% mirror this statement. A near perfect experience.

I bet they would! Or easy enough to take to a coating vendor. Personally, I do the simple bbq flat black rattle can job.

Exhaust sounds great. Just bought a used 991 that only has the base non-pse exhaust, looking at some options.

For a first time Porsche owner, where are you guys seeing the water pump leak? I've read that this is a common issue and want to be able to catch it if it happens

Pete, I have been corresponding with both Alex and Dan of Sharkwerks and their service is fabulous...and I'm not yet a customer!

God bless,
TT

^ Right on!

It was neat to see the experience as a customer live up to the experiences I've had over the years while testing their cars. Great guys, through and through. Just be sure to tell them your exhaust system needs to leave via the right driveway.
