Big Car Wow, Throttle house and straight pipes fan but I also like the others listed.
Not a porsche but one of his classics:

And another Porsche review of his to balance out this post...

Although I don't agree with them all the time, I enjoy Carmudgeon.

OK now I feel bad for not mentioning this guy. He's definitely on our list of shows we watch. Seems like a genuinely nice guy and he's all about Porsche's.

Smoking Tire is good, Ammo NYC & Chicago Auto Pros (for those interested in detailing)

Motoman, Dan Dan the Fireman, Fort Nine for motorcycle people.

I swear we watch more YouTube than regular TV these days.

I’m surprised MotoMan hasn’t received any love. He’s one of the few that dedicate a large portion of his reviews on the engineering & technical aspects of his cars.

I left Doug off since he barely spends any time actually driving the cars & providing any quality feedback on driving dynamics. He’s the “quirks & features” guy, and I’ll watch his stuff for fun to get a feel for the usability & aesthetics on a car. That’s it...

Shmee is a Mercedes spokesman. If he were more unbiased, I would probably watch him; but again, he provides absolutely zero quality car journalism in his reviews. Only useful videos I see from him are up against the fences at the Ring car spotting...

Accidentally left out Smoking Tire & Harry’s garage. I’d add them in if I could edit the list.

Interesting that Carfection is in the lead. Henry is a great journalist, but he doesn’t churn out much content on a regular basis.

Overall, the top channels on my list do three things great.

1. They cover all of the technical/engineering aspects.

2. Provide tons of insight on driving dynamics including some track time.

3. Enlighten their audience with the overall experience of owning the car including interior/exterior thoughts.

Honestly, I get more insight out of these channels than I would from big mag journalists.

Or Jalopnik?

I really like Hoovies garage. It’s not the most informative and only has one theme but I enjoy many of the cars he selects and I am interested in the Car Wizards assessments. Also Harry’s garage is fun to watch as well.

Recently I’ve gotten into the nutty Scotty Kilmer. Though he is eccentric I do believe he’s right about older European cars becoming endless money pits and Honda/Toyota products being miles better in dependability. He’s not too kind to Porsche but they way they’ve been treating their customers and ignoring glaring defects I am ok w that.

Cheers,
NF.

My go-to list;
Tavarish
Hoovie
Car Wizard
Engineering Explained
Nick Murray
Doug DeMuro (and More Doug; carsandbids)
Streetspeed717
Superspeedersrob
VinWiki

I also really like the collaborations of Car Trek and the new Sorted which show how the skill, production quality and relevance of this type of content is increasing.

I don't really need any more YouTubers to follow but I'll check out some of the ones in the survey.

1. Throttle House (I mean “hose”) and Savage Geese the same
2. Janko Lind (he actually gave me a shoutout)
3. Carfection
4. Nick Murray
5. The smoking tire (can’t believe this wasn’t included)
6. Everyday driver back in the day, but recently came out with a good cayman comparison video.

hit and miss with straightpipes; they sometimes annoy me and that one guy can come off as an ***.

Probably watched all you have listed to pass the time but Auto Amateur has actually helped me multiple times practically - that funny speaking “yank” gets my vote.

I met James in the local Porsche group he runs here. Great guy. Surprised I hadn't stumbled across his channel before then.
