The 2011-2015 Factory service manual, p. 4,360 lists “filling capacity” at 26.3 to 27.5 liters (27.8 to 29.1 quarts).

I stand corrected. My hat's off to you, mon.

That's about 7 gallons. To contain 7 gallons of fluid requires about 1 cubic foot of space. Which means 1 cubic foot of that little engine compartment is devoted to nothing more than holding coolant fluid. Wow.

I may have to stop sweating it when I add 7 ounces to get the boober to the right position.

You need to think that the lines run from back to front, plus fill radiators and engine. Lots of room for coolant

Like I said a few weeks ago. About 27,000 ml. So, adding 200-400 ml of distiller water to get the bobber to center, is nuttin.

So I went back and looked at the invoice for my 4 year major maintenance on my 2015 997.1 turbo. I was charged for 3 X 3.785 liters of antifreeze with equal volume H20 or a total of 6 X 3.785 = 22.7 liters of fluid for the cooling system flush.

As I posted above, the 2011-2015 Factory service manual, p. 4,360 lists “filling capacity” at 26.3 to 27.5 liters (27.8 to 29.1 quarts). However, I found a 2012 Porsche after-sales training brochure that says the 991.1 Carerra's coolant quantity can vary between 28.7 and 30.3 liters (30.3 and 32 qts.) depending on equipment, but specifications may have changed. So, who knows.

I've either got a coolant reservoir leak or my 3rd water pump leaking (posted in the water pump thread as well). I filled mine to get it off Min on Saturday and it took nearly a gallon to get it to move to Max. I overfilled it a bit, so used the turkey baster to remove some. Baster is getting much more use on the car than it ever would in the kitchen! Sometimes it takes a lot of coolant to get it to move from Min to Max, so don't be surprised. The coolant capacity is crazy, however. That's a lot of juice.
