Default Questions about spoiler options on 991.1 4S

I'm considering adding a rear wing to my 2013 991.1 4S coupe. If I do I want o keep it something that could have been ordered from Porsche when the car was new. That means either the Cup Aerokit package (https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKU991CUP.html) or the Sport Design package (https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/SKU991DES.html). I think I prefer the latter (the Cup rear wing looks like a bit too much of an "afterthought" with the wing attached to a ducktail).

Has anyone done one of these modifications? And if so did you have any regrets?

Can the Ducktail or Cup wing be added to a car with the GTS engine grill?

Just for fun I'll add a poll to gauge people's general impression of these wings.

Thanks!

I added the aero cup spoiler to my cab. It originally had the OEM ducktail. I think it looks pretty hot...but I'm a bit bias.

Interesting. I want to add a wing too, I'm leaning to an gt2 rs style. Go big or go home.

hmm. That's BIG alright... I think might look a bit ridiculous on a Carrera or Carrera S.

Did you keep the Sport Design front bumper? or switch to the (slightly different) Cup aero kit version? It's hard to tell from this angle.

Classic 911 lines are desirable to many:
and one of the reasons 964 went from a fixed whale tail on a previous 911's to an automatic one.

However I almost bought a 991 with Sport Design package...

I have also been researching rear spoilers for my 2015 991.1 GTS over the last few months and ended up ordering a Techart Rear Spoiler II with The carbon fiber wing. I originally was hell bent on the OEM Aerokit but wasn’t able to find one in stock anywhere and kept researching. I do like the idea of an OEM product but after looking into Techart’s design and manufacturing process I am sold. The part that sold me is mostly the design, Techart takes the outer tips and turns them down and I love the flow of the design. Their carbon fiber finishing is also top notch. Watching Techart’s YouTube video series on manufacturing carbon fiber pieces also helped, it is in German with English subtitles, check it out. I honestly believe it is the best looking rear spoiler available for my car. I drop the car off at TAG Motorsports In SoCal Monday morning and will pick her up next Friday. I am also having the Techart Sports Design Carbon fiber mirror kit installed but am torn on leaving the entire mirror in carbon fiber or have the lowers done in body color. Has anyone else looked at the Techart Spoiler II in carbon fiber? My only concern is carbon fiber overload but it should look great, I just wish I could park her in my bedroom like Dan Tanna in Vegas. I will post an “after” shot next week.

Thanks for the comments and the video... That 911R is spectacular. In terms of styling, I really like the GT3RS front bumper...

Nice Car! Isn't the Suncoast Aero Kit I linked in the OP the OEM one?
Are you thinking of the Tech Art type II with longer uprights? That one looks pretty cool.
As for the CF mirrors, I prefer the ones with the lower portion painted body color...
Oh, and is your GTS front bumper identical to the Cup Aero Kit front bumper?

Mine came from the factory with the aerokit cup. Even though I'm glad to have it, I think I prefer the sport design package better. I prefer either spoiler to none, though.

Very nice. I really like the center locking wheels too...

I’ve been contemplating this exact same thing for months. The rear of the S is not wide enough for it to look good.
