Does anyone know if the bin in between the rear seats comes out?

It does, I did this recently.
You'll need to remove three nuts. One in the "bin" itself, and two for the seat belt buckles. Once removed, you can pull the seat bottom. It is secured by velcro clips. After you remove the seat, flip it over and you can get access to a couple of clips that hold it in place.
Hope that helps.

I got flamed for this very subject on another forum... Asking about any cup holder options for rear seat. I have 2 young children that ride in the back and they always have a bottle of water.
