Default Wheel spacer question

I'm currently running 2S wheels with 15mm spacers on the rear of my 2013 4S. The 2S wheel have a 71mm offset, but normal 4S wheels have a 51mm offset, so I'm running about 5mm short of stock fitment. I'm thinking of getting larger spacers. 20mm spacers would bring me to stock fitment, but I could also go for 23mm spacers, which I think would look great. I'm just a bit worried that 23mm spacers may be pushing it... Is it okay structurally to go with spacers as large as 23mm? Any advice, experience here, much appreciated (I would, of course, use the appropriate (longer) lug bolts!).

23mm is a large spacer. I personally would never run more than 10mm. Why are you running C2 wheels on a C4? You would be better off running a wheel closer to to the factory spec offset than running a huge spacer.

Thanks for the input. I know C4 wheels would be better, but I got a great deal on the C2 wheels + tires. I don't track the car, so I think it's not an issue to go up to 15-20mm or so, but I'm just wondering if 23mm is pushing too far. I suspect not, but I wanted to check with folks to make sure there's not nan issue I'm unaware of.

If properly designed and installed there should be no reason a 23mm spacer would be unsafe. They are routinely run on much higher HP and more stressful vehicles than a street driven car. I ran 25mm on my 600hp road race Mustang and 1.5" on my Jeep Rubicon without any issues over literally decades of use.

Older Porsches had larger spacers with no adverse outcome. My 93 928 GTS had 72mm spacers from the factory. My 89 928 GT had 15mm spacers, also from the factory. I think you will be fine with 23mm.

Thanks much! I think I'll order these: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-ecs-part...001366ecs23kt/
Same brand as the 15mm spacers I currently have on the car.
