Default RAIN WATER entering IN 911.2 CARRERA s 2018

Dear Al
please help me to find a solution i have a 911.2 Carrera S and my car is usually parked in the building open parking
we received heavy rain over 3 days and on the 4th day realized the Front Passenger Seat Base had water ingress . the driver and the footwell both sides were complete dry
the dealer has tested everything out and finally come to a solution that the car was parked in flood waters , and the water has risen from the base of the car into the car
this is not true as we did not experience any flooding
dealer has tried almost everything if anyone experienced a similar situation kindly help me out
thanks in advance

My gut says passenger window was not up 100% during your heavy rainfall.

I recall a few years ago someone had a missing rubber grommet, which allowed some water to get in from the underside.
Where is the damp area or is it dripping wet?
Deep in the passenger footwell?
Under the front of the passenger seat?
When did you notice the water or moisture? Before driving or afterwards?

But his entire door panel would be drenched too, wouldn't it?

can you explain what and where is the rubber grommet
the dealership says everything is dry and the only way water entered is from the underside
i realized once i started the car and moved it it felt like water gushing in the base

"only water in the base of the seat"
Do you mean the floor at the base of the seat?

correct floor at the base of the seat completely filled with water like it could be a bucket
the dealer opened the running board and said water came out like a water fall from the running board
please help as they are running out of ideas to check and do and are coming to a conclusion mentioning that i parked the car in an area where the water levels rose and it flooded
this i am in complete denial of as there was no flooding just really heavy rain over 3 days non stop

Let me see if I can find the old post...

Was the can parked on a slope or angle?
Because if it actually flooded from rising water (as they claim), I would imagine that it would have come in on both the driver and passenger side.

absolutely my same concern if rising waters entire car would have been submerged

does parking at an angle or slop make a difference
well mine was not honestly on a slope

It if was parked with the passenger side lower than the drivers side, then perhaps one can explain flooding on only one side (but it doubt it).

I cannot find the old post, but I did remember that Nick Murray had a similar issue. (see 3min 50sec)

Btw, you'd be amazed how much water comes out of your AC system.
Do you see water drain out of your AC lines. Definitely not clogged?

hi since car was not used and sat over 3 days i really doubt the AC but they did check it and said nothing there too

their only identification of the issue is that water came in from below the car

Nick Murray on Youtube had the same problem in his 991.1 - water collecting in the footwell on the passenger side. It was coming from below, not above just like your case. I don't think a cause was ever found, but you might want to send him an email to see if the dealer ever found a fix.
