991 Chrono clock question
Hi all,
I recently purchased a chrono clock from ebay and I was wondering which 991 model/trim it's from. The numbering has a green hue. Thanks in advance!

You guys are fast!
I googled it and it looks like both have the green tint on the numbers. Hard to tell for sure, but it narrows it down. Thanks!

it looks like the 911R has a black center on the hands whereas the 50th is full aluminum. Maybe someone else can chime in with a pic of theirs.

Nice...it would look even better if the trim ring was black to match your gauges!

Very cool! What did you have to do to wire it?

Thanks! Didn't think about that, but I'll do a search to see if it's available!

There's a
good thread here that has a few good write ups.
You're going to need the Cable Loom, part #981-612-692-00 and then tap 4 wires to the PCM. It was really easy!

It is Black on the GT cars but you would have to buy the entire unit to get the Black trim ring so I popped off mine (just the trim ring) and painted it Black and added a Miami Blue stripe on the inside lip.

Awesome, good to know that's an option instead of buying a new unit.. thanks for the tip!

Another reason to check the vin before assuming the car has the sport chrono package.
