Default Tire sensor value in red?

What does it mean when 1 tire sensor value is red? Also what is the comfort psi for the 20"?

1) If you mean you see a display like the below, one of your tires is over 7 psi low.

That's quite a big jump, if it is sudden. If it were me, I'd get out immediately and start squirting dish soap in water on the tire treads, looking for a screw or nail, ASAP.

2) For 20", summer tire, part load, comfort psi is 31/39. For full load, its 36/44. These values are from an older 991.1 online manual I have seen floating around. Recommend you verify with the Owners Manual for your car, if you can.

I tried to attach a pic...

It only shows red when I start the car in the morning. The tire pressures remain the same all 4 corners and rise similarly once driving.

Very curious. I'm not sure. I would speculate that the red tire is just over the trigger for "red", perhaps just over 3 psi fill. The rest are such that they don't signal red? I dunno.

Either way, the picture you posted shows a tire fault. I'd get to a service station and plus up the tires, or buy/use a small portable compressor and get them taken care of.

The Tire Pressure Monitor apparently rounds up (or down?) to display the nearest whole number, and converts from bar to psi, and compensates for temperature. So, each of your tires may be at a slightly different pressure but the computer just says "-3" below comfort pressure. Also, the sensors themselves may each read a little differently, although mine have been dead-on consistent.

Try checking your tire pressures with a good digital tire gauge, and add more air to bring them all up to "0" comfort, partial load. If the red color is still present, it may mean that the battery is low or the radio signal from that wheel's sensor is weak. Also, make sure that the Monitor correctly shows the size and type of tires you have on the car, e.g., 20" Summer or 19" Winter.

32 and 35 are the comfort, partial load pressures for my 2016 GTS, but I run +1 lb in each. Check your manual to be sure.
